Abstract

This systematic review examined the influence of empowerment through mentorship on the growth of female entrepreneurship in Nigeria. With the growing emphasis on women's economic empowerment in developing nations, mentorship has emerged as a crucial mechanism for fostering entrepreneurial success among women. This paper synthesized evidence from peer-reviewed literature and policy reports to explore how mentorship programs contribute to the development of female entrepreneurs. The review identified key mentorship frameworks, highlights successful mentorship initiatives, and discusses barriers to effective mentorship. The findings provided insights into best practices and offered recommendations for scaling mentorship programs to accelerate female entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
