Abstract

Organizational performance comprises strategic planning, operations, financial management, legal compliance, and organizational development. An organization's goals are notably augmented when personnel comprehensively comprehend their duties and obligations. Furthermore, continuous communication among management, leaders, and employees is critical for establishing performance expectations, monitoring progress, and attaining favorable outcomes. Work engagement is a vital component of organizational effectiveness; it is conceptualized as the degree to which employees wholeheartedly pursue the organization's goals, exhibiting enthusiasm, dedication, and involvement. This paper examines the impact of work engagement on organizational performance in Malaysian private universities. In conducting this study, the researcher utilized a quantitative methodology. A non-probability purposive sampling technique was employed in this analysis. SmartPLS 4 was used to evaluate the partial least squares structural equation path model (PLS-SEM). The analysis results (ß = 0.474, t = 7.571, p < 0.01) corroborate the findings of the research, which establish a significant positive correlation between work engagement (WE) and the performance (OP) of private universities in Malaysia.
