Abstract

This paper explores the dynamic relationship between Indian cinema and women empowerment, delving into the evolution of portrayals of women in the industry over the years. With a focus on Bollywood, the study investigates the extent to which Indian cinema reflects and shapes societal perceptions of gender roles and women's empowerment. Through a combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative data gathered from questionnaires, the paper examines audience perceptions, reactions, and preferences regarding the representation of women in Indian films.
