“GOVERNANCE IN COLLABORATION: EVALUATING THE ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES OF COALITION POLITICS”
Abstract
The article closely examines the complicated nature of coalition politics in India, highlighting its pros and cons. Coalition governments are common in today’s diverse and multi-party political landscape because they give more people a voice and include everyone in decision-making. The study shows how sharing power and reaching a consensus can help stabilise the political system, mainly when mandates are split up. The article also talks about the problems that come with coalition politics. Getting along with people with different ideas is hard, often leading to arguments and compromises. Governance may not work as well as it should, which could cause decisions to take longer and make it harder to implement policies that work for everyone. Concerns about sustainability arise because political alliances change constantly, affecting the long-term stability of coalition governments. This study aims to give us a more complete picture of coalition politics in India. It looks at the factors that lead to successful coalitions, disagreements over ideas, and the changing trends that will determine the future of working together to run the government in India. At the end of the article, it emphasises how political collaborations are constantly changing and how they significantly affect the Indian government.
