EDUCATIONAL ASPIRATION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RELATION TO CLASSROOM PROCESSES
Abstract
The present paper focused on the review of the conceptual framework of educational aspiration and the study of the influence of classroom processes in promoting the educational aspiration of tribal students. This paper is part of a larger study conducted in the residential secondary Ashram school in Maharashtra. Data collection is done with the participatory observation schedule and focused group discussion. Data analysis is done with the formation of categories and categorization of categories into major concepts. students’ perception of the classroom process and the teacher, school, academic score, time duration for further study and course content were studied by observing the interaction and opportunities created while classroom processes.
