THE GIG ECONOMY: AN OVERVIEW
Abstract
The gig economy has grown into an area of academic inquiry, accommodating the public interest and policy, and has sparked debate about the future of work, labour regulation, technology and the impact of quality of employment. This special issue provides a timely intervention in its discussion, and this article provides an early overview and places the article in a comprehensive literature review for existing scholarships in the otaku economy.
