Abstract
Day by day new product development becomes more challengingin terms of understanding its terminology, integration, collaboration, etc.,Also,the faster industrial revolution is one of the significantfactorsin addition to the above.Moreover, the time to develop new productsresults in delayed deliveries due to various combinations of justifications in the projects. The success of delivery depends on the collaborative engagement of all stakeholders irrespective of function and responsibilities however the index of “product development” is emphasized as only pertaining to R&D professionals.This needs to change; hence weproposed a studytaking two major namesNew Product Developmentand New Product Creation Systems widely used in automobile industries andanalyzingwhich will have more inclusivity among the industries’practices.Analyzing these will help any automobile organization put the right name in place for product development in the project management process.This paper aims to find which terminology NPDorNPCS has more inclusivityin the organization and how peopleunderstand it has a link with all the functions or only with a specific product development function.
