DRIVING FACTORS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY WOMEN IN MICRO INFORMAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Abstract
In current scenario, women are increasingly drawn towards micro-entrepreneurship by a combination of personal attributes, family support with a favorable external environment. Their personal ambition, creativity, resilience, and the utilization of their skills and talents empower them to initiate small businesses. Family support, in the form of encouragement, childcare assistance, and financial backing, plays a pivotal role in enabling women to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. On other hand, starting a business by women can be a daunting journey due to various obstacles. The present study tries to identify the factors that drive women to start up an entrepreneurial ventures and obstacles while starting and growing up a business and gives suitable solutions to overcome obstacles and succeed in their business endeavours.
