Abstract

Arya Samaj was one of the most important social reform movements. The Arya Samaj was founded in 1875 by Swami Dayanand in Bombay. Swami Dayanand belonged to a Brahmin family. He had eradicated many superstitions and superstitions prevalent in the society. The greatest work of Lord Dayanand is considered to be Suddhi Andolan. Through which he brought the people who had left Hinduism back to Hindu society. Swami Dayanand also paid special attention to education. He again chanted slogans towards the Vedas. According to him, salvation can be achieved only by reading the Vedas. In time, the Arya Samaj split and the Arya Samaj was divided into two gardens. One is Gurukul and the other is DAV. Within the Arya Samaj, the Hindus enjoyed economic, social and religious independence. The Arya Samaj had to some extent prevented the Hindus from becoming Christians and had sown the seeds of Hindu national unity in the country.
