Abstract

This study paper dives at the significant and surprising relevance of Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels" in the context of the digital age. Despite being created in the 18th century, the narrative of Lemuel Gulliver's fanciful voyages continues to enthrall and offer unique insights into our current society. This study investigates the lasting significance of Swift's work via an interdisciplinary lens, finding similarities between the satirical themes and characters of "Gulliver's Travels" and the complex landscapes of our digital day.

By studying the intersections between Swift's criticism on human nature, cultural relativism, and reason against irrationality, this paper reveals how the issues discussed in the novel resonate with the challenges and dilemmas we find in our digital lives. From the moral complexity of online culture to the ethical implications of digital surveillance, Gulliver's adventures serve as a thought-provoking backdrop to evaluate and understand our digital age. Through a comprehensive analysis of both the literary work and the digital landscape, this research paper seeks to shed light on the enduring power of storytelling and the ways in which classic literature can provide valuable insights into the complex, ever-evolving world of technology and communication. Ultimately, this study highlights the necessity of recognizing the everlasting value of literature as we traverse the uncharted waters of the digital age.
