Abstract

            This case study delves into the intricate dynamics of sustainable tourism in rural Assam, India, shedding light on the evolving challenges and opportunities within the burgeoning tourism industry. The research critically examines the long-term implications of tourism growth on the environment, culture, and community well-being in the region. Through a comprehensive analysis framework encompassing environmental preservation, socio-cultural integrity, and economic viability, the study offers insights into the multifaceted dimensions of sustainability. Employing extensive fieldwork and qualitative research methods, the study uncovers the delicate equilibrium that rural Assam strives to maintain between reaping the benefits of tourism and ensuring sustainable development imperatives.
