BUILDING A FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER FOR THE VERTICAL CHANNEL OF THE VN VTOL UAV AIRCRAFT
Abstract
The article focuses on developing a fuzzy controller for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the VN VTOL type, with the goal of optimizing the operation of the UAV in the vertical plane. The fuzzy control system is designed to stabilize the flight altitude of the UAV using two input variables: altitude error and vertical speed error. Through the simulation process, the fuzzy controller was evaluated and compared with the PID controller. The results show that the fuzzy controller is more adaptive, helping the UAV expand its operating capabilities. The flexibility and performance of the fuzzy control system are demonstrated by stabilizing the flight altitude of the UAV under different test conditions. This paper provides a new approach to controlling UAVs of the VN VTOL type, especially in the vertical plane, and is an important contribution to the field of UAV research and development in Vietnam.
