Abstract

Education is a dynamic system which keeps on evolving as per the needs of the students and the environment around. This system has the biggest challenge of reaching out to the variety of students from different backgrounds that too with the use of various methodologies. Present change in the teaching strategies that is offline and online has brought different challenges for the teachers. This study has been undertaken to evaluate the mental health and burnout level of the teachers in the present scenario. A total of 170 teachers (Primary and Senior Secondary) from different schools of Delhi participated in the study.  PGI Health Questionnaire and Maslach Burnout Inventory were used to assess the mental health and burnout among teachers. The results revealed that due to changes happening in the education system, the burnout level among senior school teachers was more than the primary teachers. And increased burnout was affecting the mental health of the teachers.
