Abstract
Drug addiction is a complex phenomenon characterized by compulsive drug-seeking and use despite adverse consequences. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of drug addiction, exploring its causes, effects, and various treatment strategies. Drawing upon a range of research studies, this paper examines the biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to addiction, as well as the neurobiological mechanisms underlying addictive behaviors.
